After a strenuous programming process, an activity-based design solution was selected for the client’s 7,200 square foot renovation at Centennial Tower. By creating a multitude of different working environments, the activity-based workplace at 101 Marietta attempts to improve comfort and productivity by allowing employees to select from a multitude of available workspace environments that are the best fit for their personal work styles and the tasks they are performing at any given moment. The office is also divided into departmental neighborhoods to maximize intradepartmental collaboration with informal spaces like the break room overlooking Centennial Olympic Park offering a space for informal interdepartmental collaboration and camaraderie. Designed to emphasize wellness and sustainability, the project later achieved multiple certifications including the LEED, WELL, and Living Building Challenge Petal standards.
